Tommy Orange’s “There There” is the UCSC Humanities Department’s novel of choice for its quarter-long Deep Read program. The author spoke to UCSC students virtually on March 3 with UCSC Professor Micah Perks. The novel is a contemporary glimpse into the lives of Native people.

The GHOST Rescue CREW specializes in empath healings, clearing negative spirits, and using modern technology to capture evidence of paranormal activity. Their next adventure— excavating a "demon" in Chino Hills, Calif.

‘TWELFTH NIGHT’ STRIKES COMEDIC GOLD

Pierce College’s latest theater production “Twelfth Night” is an absurdist look at social norms in an aristocracy if they were all turned upside down. Directed by Esdras Toussaint, the excellent two-hour Shakespearean comedy ran through March 31, at the Dow Arena Theatre.

The Los Angeles College Promise provides one year of free enrollment to all full-time students graduating from LAUSD and charter high schools beginning with seniors graduating in 2017. The LA promise is the first of many programs forming across America providing tuition-free education.  KPC Radio spoke about the program and the benefits it’s bringing to college campuses in the San Fernando Valley with Sergio Gonzalez,  the outreach and recruitment coordinator at Pierce College, Cesar Ventareno, LA Promise mentor, Sunday Salter, President of Transfer at Pierce College, Joanna B Zimring-Towne , faculty coordinator for the college promise district-wide and Freshman Natalie Gonzalez.

This audio story won "Best Audio Profile" at the 2018 Skills USA State Competition
